L’iPhone X sa resistere agli urti?

La possibilità di acquistare un iPhone X deve andare evidentemente al dì là delle questioni di natura commerciale, nonostante un prezzo piuttosto elevato. Ad esempio, in queste ore grazie a Squadre Trade possiamo analizzare bene la sua capacità di resistere agli urti.

Ecco perché oggi diventa particolarmente importante considerare più da vicino quelli che sono alcuni punti deboli del nuovo iPhone X, in attesa dell’arrivo di altre scorte:

  • Caduta frontale: 180cm di caduta, l’impatto e l’iPhone X si rompe: schermo inutilizzabile e riconoscimento facciale che non risponde più;

  • Caduta laterale e posteriore: dalla stessa altezza, la caduta accidentale ed un impatto sui lati o sugli spigoli hanno causato danni solo marginali esternamente, ma assai gravi all’interno del telefono con lo schermo che non ha più risposto ai comandi. Nell’impatto con il pannello posteriore, invece, l’iPhone X utilizzato nel test si è rotto presentando crepe e schegge di vetro che hanno reso il telefono difficile da tenere in mano.

  • Test di immersione: buona la resistenza all’acqua. Al pari degli iPhone 8 e 8 Plus, l’immersione in un metro e mezzo d’acqua per trenta minuti ha portato come conseguenza solo qualche disturbo audio.

  • Shot test: Migliaia di persone dimenticano il telefono sul tetto della loro automobile. Il shot test simula in laboratorio una caduta in questa circostanza. L’iPhone X si è rivelato vulnerabile in diversi tipi di cadute, con i danni maggiori registrati al riconoscimento facciale ed alla funzione di avvio della schermata iniziale che hanno smesso di funzionare.

  • Facilità di riparazione: l’iPhone X vanta uno schermo OLED più sottile rispetto a quello dei suoi predecessori. Questo però – secondo i tecnici di SquareTrade – si traduce in un conto più salato per la sua riparazione. La scheda madre più piccola (più complicata da riparare) e la batteria a due celle più difficile da rimuovere concorrono forse a spiegare la ragione per cui Apple prevede di far pagare agli utenti americani 279 dollari per la sostituzione dello schermo e 549 dollari per la maggior parte delle altre riparazioni.

Occhio dunque, perché l’opportunità o meno di portarsi a casa un iPhone X deve necessariamente andare oltre qualsiasi tipo di considerazione inerente il suo prezzo di listino.
