Twitter accorcia gli Url

La caratteristica principale di Twitter è quella di limitare la lunghezza dei messaggi a 140 caratteri. Di conseguenza, uno dei maggiori problemi degli utenti consiste proprio nel convertire lunghi indirizzi web in Url brevi, un inconveniente che spesso si risolve con l’aiuto di servizi esterni come TinyUrl o Bit.ly Ma da oggi è possibile fare a meno di queste applicazioni, perché Twitter adesso accorcia gli Url già di default.

Basta incollare un link di qualsiasi lunghezza nella casella di testo di Twitter.com e al momento di premere il pulsante “Tweet” il link verrà accorciato automaticamente in modo che occupi solo 19 caratteri. La nuova funzione ha lo scopo di rendere Twitter più semplice da usare e quindi accessibile a un maggior numero di utenti.

Condividere link adesso è semplice e immediato. In più, gli short url di Twitter sono formati da una versione abbreviata del link originale, in modo tale da far sapere agli utenti che il link punta proprio a quel sito e non ad una pagina web che contiene virus o malware. Il servizio aumenta anche la sicurezza di chi usa Twitter. Se gli utenti fanno clic su di un link segnalato come potenzialmente pericoloso, vengono reindirizzati ad una pagina che li avvisa del pericolo.

Naturalmente, è sempre possibile continuare ad utilizzare il nostro servizio di Short Url preferito, al posto degli Url brevi di Twitter.
