Altro sondaggio on line che parla di social network, questa volta si è interessato di reperire il numero di utenti distinti per sesso, che viaggiano quotidianamente nei social network di tutto il mondo. Lo studio che è stato curato da una società di ricerca americana, ha rilevato che la presenza delle donne on line è massiccia rispetto a quella maschile, soprattutto nei social network.

Questa ricerca è stata effettuata su commissione da Brian Solis, un guru americano del marketing, delle pubbliche relazioni e dei nuovi media. I dati per questa ricerca sono stati rilevati dal servizio di Google che si chiama AdPlanner, che nel dettaglio riesce a fornire delle statistiche demografiche per i siti più cliccati del pianeta. Questo sito viene in effetti consultato spesso dagli esperti di Advertising, per riuscire a “dipingere” al meglio la pubblicità su certi network, in modo tale da colpire dritto al centro il cuore del target di internauti.

Brian Solis, sembra aver fatto una scoperta alquanto opposta ai trend che ognuno di noi potesse prevedere, e cioè la massificazione della presenza femminile on line sui social network. Ma non solo la presenza numerica…si parla addirittura di un’attività di gran lunga maggiore nei post e negli aggiornamenti di stato del gentil sesso rispetto a quello maschile.

Ma parliamo di numeri e vediamo in dettaglio cosa ha comunicato al mondo Brian Solis. Partiamo dal più noto al mondo Facebook, che vede un tasso di presenza femminile pari al 57%, che risulta uguale a quella di Twitter (anch’esso 57%). MySpace, ha un numero di iscritte pari al 64% del totale e Flickr del 55%. Non sono da meno i meno noti come Classmates.com e Buzznet, che si piazzano ad una media di iscritte del 64%. Troviamo poi Friend Feed con il 55% delle iscritte. I casi particolari sono Digg, che vede invece una maggioranza di iscritti maschi con il 64% ed i noti LinkedIn e YouTube, con un tasso di iscritti che tocca la parità del 50% tra uomini e donne.
