Se non si ricorda il nome di qualcuno, basta caricare una sua foto e il programma in poco tempo riesce a localizzarlo sul social network. Il programma è piaciuto talmente tanto, che per migliorare le ricerche, è stata effettuata la scansione di oltre 400 milioni di foto.

Forse ci siete pure voi! Per controllare non vi servirà altro che provare il servizio. Le foto inglobate ed esaminate sono di diversi tipi, possono essere quelle singole, quella del profilo o ancora interi album. Il successo dell’azienda è stato quello di applicare una tecnologia molto interessante ad uno dei social network più in voga del momento, ed è ad esso che si è dedicata maggiormente. Magari un giorno potrebbe esplorare nuovi orizzonti in cerca di nuove piattaforme sociali come: twitter, myspace, netlog, ecc, ma dal nome: Face.com, si capisce chiaramente che rimarrà un servizio fidato di Facebook.

Servizio molto interessante, fino ad un certo punto. Difatti quali permessi ha Face.com di effettuare queste ricerche e visualizzare nostre foto presenti su Facebook? Nessuno ha chiesto un esplicito consenso agli utenti del social network, di essere presenti su tale servizio e nemmeno che le proprie immagini private fossero mostrate in tale modo.
