Le indagini sui social network si moltiplicano di giorno in giorno e quella di cui parliamo oggi, è una recente indagine realizzata dalla SWG sul modo in cui gli esseri umani interagiscono da quando si sono diffuse le reti sociali on line.

Il nome della ricerca è “Diario aperto 2009“. I social network vengono quotidianamente utilizzati per rendere noti i propri interessi, per pubblicizzare la propria vita ed attività, per ritrovare amici e compagni di scuola di un tempo, o ancora per esprimere a tutti il proprio pensiero. La ricerca “Diario aperto 2009″, è stata fatta in Italia ed ha coinvolto una serie di oltre 1.352 utenti, abituali frequentatori delle reti sociali on line. I risultati hanno permesso di dividere gli utenti web in 3 gruppi totali, vediamoli insieme.

Il primo gruppo viene definità con il nome di “NET – Politicizzati”, e rappresenta circa il 22% dei frequentatori di social network. Essi si caratterizzano perchè sostengono che i social network stessi, siano un valido aiuto a se stessi per portare avanti idee e produzioni politiche, riuscendo ad estendere il proprio campo di influenza nel resto dei Paesi a loro collegati. Il numero più cospiquo di questi membri è ubicato tra il Centro ed il Sud Italia e comprende un numero elevato di lavoratori del settore pubblico.

Il secondo gruppo è quello definito “Lavoratori digitali”. La loro locazione geografica è maggiore nei paesi del Nord – Est Italia e rappresentano un totale del 14% degli utilizzatori classici dei social network. Secondo il loro pensiero, le reti sociali on line, sono un utile mezzo di divulgazione di competenze professionali e quindi un mezzo di stabilizzazione dei rapporti di lavoro.

L’ultimo gruppo che è stato delineato dalla SWG, è quello chiamato “Cercatori di Amici”. Questo gruppo è formato prevalentemente da donne che costituiscono un buon 19-20% degli utenti sociali delle reti sociali on line e che li utilizzano principalmente come “cura” alla solitudine. Il modo più consono per loro è utilizzare la rete per cercare amici, o ancora per rimanere in contatto con dei conoscenti che non si riescono a tenere in contatto in altro modo.
