Ebbene l’avvenimento del sisma abruzzese ha sconvolto anche il mondo della blogosfera. L’Italia, come la Germania, il Giappone, l’America, tutti i paesi sono vicini all’Italia come se si fosse deciso di sposare l’idea del tanto decantato “villaggio globale” di Marshall McLuhan. Gianluca Nicoletti, della trasmissione radiofonica Melog in onda su Radio 24 ha dichiarato che: “Dopo la scossa mi sono messo al computer e ho visto che il mio gruppo virtuale su Facebook (che conta oltre 5.000 «amici» ndr) era in “fibrillazione”. Allora ho cominciato a pubblicare le agenzie che arrivavano. Quindi ho telefonato a delle amiche che vivono a L’Aquila. Erano per strada, volevano sapere cosa stava succedendo. Ho ricevuto messaggi e telefonate dall’Indocina, dal Brasile, da New York. Sono rimasto davanti allo schermo fino alle 6 a scambiare informazioni. Qualcuno pubblicava le mappe di Google per far vedere i paesi colpiti dal sisma. Tutti erano alla ricerca di notizie“.
E’ una “gioia” per chi vive la blogosfera, notare che in caso di tragedia, il main objective del social network diventa: aiutare. Non scambio di messaggi, foto, luogo di intrattenimento, ma luogo di unione e di comunità pronta a creare una forza.
