Dopo i film in streaming su Facebook, il prossimo passo potrebbe essere quello delle serie TV, niente di ufficiale al momento, sembra però che molti network americani stiano trattando con i vertici del social network per poter offrire un servizio di noleggio/streaming dei vari episodi delle serie più popolari.

Nel momento in cui scrivo i grandi network coinvolti nella trattativa sarebbero due, HBO e Showtime, le due reti potrebbero presto distribuire su Facebook i propri telefilm, visibili in streaming pagando una piccola cifra, probabilmente 20 o 30 crediti.

Tra le serie in arrivo potrebbero esserci Dexter, Boardwalk Empire, Game Of Thrones, True Blood, I Borgia, Weeds e Californication. Sembra inoltreche anche due network minori siano intessati a distribuire i propri telefilm su Facebook, parliamo di AMC e TV Land. Il primo dovrebbe offrire The Walking Dead (serie di punta del canale), mentre TV Land vorrebbe portare Hot In Cleveland, serie davvero molto amata su Facebook.

Non sappiamo quando tutto questo diventerà realtà, inoltre non è chiaro se la visione degli episodi in streaming sarà attiva fuori dagli Stati Uniti, a causa dei contratti con i network locali che spesso garantiscono l’esclusiva assoluta di trasmissione per determinati prodotti.
