BioWare: cresce la community di videogamers

Ieri abbiamo parlato della nuova presentazione dell’Apps per Facebook del prossimo Dante’s Inferno, oggi, continuiamo a dedicarci al mondo dei videogames che sempre più si avvicina alle community virtuali. Parliamo di BioWare che ha pubblicato on line le statistiche dei frequentatori del proprio sito internet dedicato alle varie community che trattano argomentazioni riguardanti i giochi del suo catalogo.

Parliamo di Social BioWare, disponibile all’indirizzo http://social.bioware.com. Ad oggi, questa community in multilingua conta oltre 5 milioni di utenti registrati e nelle sole ultime 5 settimane, riesce a far registrare un numero di 500.000 utenti autenticati.

Dai dati comunicati dallo staff del sito, lo sviluppo così interessante degli iscritti è dovuto principalmente alla chiave di ricerca del nuovo gioco in uscita Dragon Age: Origins e per Mass Effect 2. Questi dati sono stati rilevati dagli accessi verificati sul network della Electronic Arts Game.

Ma parliamo dell’aspetto di social networking. La community di BioWare, riesce ad essere punto di incontro tra gli utenti non solo per la possibilità di realizzare profili, tenersi in contatto con gli altri utenti e soprattutto di diventare amici. Al sito web è stata aggiunta la possibilità di caricare file multimediali e realizzare dei veri e propri album di immagini delle proprie “videogiocate”, oltre che le foto strappate da qualche sito straniero per il lancio dell’ultimo videogames che arriverà magari per Natale sugli scaffali.

Che questa moda di tornare tutti un po’ bambini con i videogames sta impazzando si vede già dall’enorme aumento dei videogiocatori che si trovano per i giochi di Facebook ad esempio, una categoria in continua crescita che vedrà un boom durante il periodo natalizio.
