Il social network minimalista si rinnova, nella grafica e nelle funzioni. Twitter vuole sfidare Facebook e diventare il social network più utilizzato del mondo. Per farlo però è necessario cambiare molte cose…

Twitter sarà molto più veloce, per agevolare i milioni di utenti che accedono da smartphone e telefoni cellulari. Il restyling grafico darà vita ad un ambiente completamente nuovo. La schermata principale sarà divisa in due colonne. Nella prima troveremo i tweet della nostra “bacheca”, mentre nella seconda avremo tutte le informazioni sugli autori dei vari messaggi.

Una grande novità infatti è l’introduzione dei mini profili. Ogni utente avrà a disposizione una colonna con vari campi da riempire, come biografia, esperienze lavorative, titolo di studio, passioni, hobby, preferenze… proprio come accade sul rivale Facebook.

Ci saranno anche migliorie di tipo tecnico sull’intera piattaforma. Twitter diventerà più stabile, veloce e sicuro. Milioni di persone si affidano a Twitter ogni giorno, per questo motivo l’infrastruttura dell’azienda subirà alcuni cambiamenti. La società si affiderà a server e macchine più potenti per riuscire a gestire correttamente il numero di Tweet degli utenti, che crescono di giorno in giorno.

Il sito punta a diventare una vera piattaforma multimediale, un hub virtuale per condividere informazioni, notizie e contenuti come foto e video, fino ad ora preclusi, anche se il caricamento era permesso tramite tool sviluppati da altre aziende e non integrati in Twitter.
