Business Insider riporta oggi una notizia molto interessante che riguarda due colossi del web: Google e Twitter. A quanto pare Big G avrebbe avanzato una offerta per acquistare Twitter agli inizi del 2010.

L’offerta però è stata subito rifiutata, perchè ritenuta troppo bassa, appena 2.5 miliardi di dollari, cifra obiettivamente non altissima per un sito in forte crescita.

Il CEO di Twitter non ha avuto dubbi ed ha rifiutato fermamente l’offerta senza pensarci troppo, in attesa di altre proposte più interessanti. La proposta “bomba” sarebbe arrivata a settembre, quando, secondo una fonte anonima, Microsoft avrebbe offerto ben 4 miliardi di dollari per l’acquisto del social network, ma anche in questo caso l’affare non è andato in porto, per motivi sconosciuti.
