Notizie importanti in casa Yahoo! prima dell’avvio del 2010. Ebbene il nuovo anno per la casa del punto esclamativo, vorrà dire unione delle proprie forze con Facebook. Durante il primo semestre dell’anno 2010, è previsto infatti un nuovo rilascio da casa Yahoo! che permetterà agli utenti del search engine, di disporre di strumenti che permetteranno una integrazione a 360 gradi con il social network più “navigato” della rete: Facebook.

L’annuncio ufficiale di questa partnership è stato dato da Jim Stoneham, il VP of Communities di Yahoo! direttamente sulla pagina del blog ufficiale dell’Azienda Yodel Anecdotal.

La cosiddetta chiave di incontro per effettuare questa integrazione è stata definita in Facebook Connect. Grazie a questa possibilità, infatti, l’ideatore e fondatore del social network Mark Zuckerberg sta diffondendo la possibilità di interfacciarsi al suo sito con tutti i media importanti che hanno un riferimento diretto con Facebook. I servizi esterni, grazie a questa tecnologia, sono infatti aumentati a dismisura.

A tali condizioni, grazie a questo accordo tutti i vari servizi attualmente disponibili su Yahoo! potranno essere collegati direttamente con un account di Facebook per permettere la facilitazione e la condivisione delle proprie attività.
In prima linea sono stati definiti i servizi di “supporto” a Facebook. Parliamo dei noti aggiornamenti di stato che il network di Yahoo!, desidera integrare nei propri profili oltre che nel proprio Yahoo! Messenger. Da qui, infatti, gli utenti del sito iscritti a Facebook potranno avere un’unica (ed allo stesso tempo duplice) gestione del proprio profilo visibile sia su Yahoo! che su Facebook.

Tutte queste funzionalità che partiranno dalla sezione “Messenger” saranno poi trasferite man mano a tutte le sezioni come Yahoo! News, Yahoo! Sport, Yahoo! Answers ed anche alla Yahoo! Mail.

Un accordo interessante di cui il primo network ad esserne “geloso” è Google, in effetti tutti si aspettavano un accordo tra Facebook e Google per rendere unite due strutture “possenti” in ambito web. Ma l’accordo non è arrivato…ancora.
