Parliamo questa sera di un fenomeno molto diffuso fino ad oggi negli Stati Uniti ed in Gran Bretagna che sta diventando popolare anche in Italia e negli altri Paesi dell’Europa. Si tratta più che altro di una “moda” che è molto in voga tra le ragazzine adolescenti. Stiamo parlando del sexting. Il termine che distingue questa pratica, è una fusione tra i due termini “sex” e “texting”. Ma cos’è in dettaglio?

Si tratta di un “vizio” nel fotografarsi in completo o solo in parti “strategiche” del proprio corpo, in posizioni sexy ed inviare gli scatti via MMS su un cellulare oppure diffonderli tramite e-mail. Questa moda sta impazzando di recente anche sui social network e soprattutto in siti come Facebook e Badoo. Un sondaggio effettuato tramite il proprio sito web, nell’ultimo numero del mensile “Top Girl”, ha reso noti dei dati che sono risultati a vista degli esperti: preoccupanti.
In effetti, sembra proprio che un’adolescente su quattro abbia ammesso di avere praticato il sexting. I dati a campione dimostrano che il 17% abbia confessato di avere inviato delle proprie foto in pose erotiche, ma solo ai fidanzati. Il 74% non ha mai diffuso fotografie sexy personali, se non ad uso proprio. Il 7% si dichiara pentito di aver fatto questo gesto, ed il 2% ammette di avere pubblicato questi scatti su siti di social networking.

L’argomento non è da trascurare, visto che un buon 85% delle risposte a questo sondaggio, provengono da ragazzine minorenni dai 14 ai 19 anni e quindi potrebbero entrare in un circolo vizioso da cui difficilmente è possibile uscirne.

Per combattere questo fenomeno, la proposta è arrivata dal Governo del New South Wales, che ha già lanciato una campagna educativa per mettere in guardia le “ingenue” ragazze da tutte le conseguenze che potrebbero derivare da questa pratica.
Per completezza tecnica, si comunica che a livello legislativo il sexting è classificato come pornografia infantile.
