Adesso chiude anche Btjunkie, i social reagiscono?

Dopo Megaupload, The Pirate Bay e VideoWeed, bisogna segnalare che anche Btjunkie, uno dei siti fornitori di torrent più noto al mondo, ha chiuso i battenti. C’è da precisare che non è stato preso alcun provvedimento legale nei confronti del sito, ma che i suoi fondatori, preventivamente, hanno deciso di interrompere l’attività per poter evitare spiacevoli conclusioni. Btjunkie era nato cinque anni fa ed è per questo che in ogni caso è stata rilasciata una dichiarazione per tutti coloro che si rivolgevano ai servizi del sito. Poche frasi, semplici ma estremamente esplicative della situazione difficile che si è venuta a creare:

 

Questa è la fine del percorso amici miei. Prendere questa decisione non è stato facile, ma abbiamo volontariamente deciso di chiudere tutto. Abbiamo combattuto per anni a favore del vostro diritto di comunicare, ma è giunto il momento di voltare pagina. È stata l’avventura di una vita, vi auguriamo ogni bene.

 
È veramente finita l’era dei Torrent? Il file sharing diventerà soltanto un brutto ricordo? Questo non si sa ancora. È certo che per evitare una battaglia legale Btjunkie  ha preso preventivamente questa decisione. Altri, molto più positivi, credono che questa scelta possa prefigurare uno scenario totalmente nuovo e che per il futuro ci siano nuove strade da percorrere per quanto riguarda la condivisione di video. Certo è che i fondatori di Btjunkie sono stati più fortunati oppure più previdenti rispetto agli altri decidendo di non rischiare. Infatti, il fondatore di Megaupload, il tedesco Kim Schmitz, è accusato dalla Corte distrettuale dello Stato della Virginia di violazione delle leggi sul diritto d’autore, di uso improprio dei mezzi elettronici, di associazione a delinquere finalizzata all’estorsione, al riciclaggio e alla violazione del diritto d’autore.

 

 

Dalla Nuova Zelanda Schmitz dovrebbe subire l’estradizione in America e scontare anni di carcere per le innumerevoli violazioni in merito al diritto d’autore.
