Obama ringrazia i fan per gli auguri su Facebook

Barack Obama

Il 4 agosto del 1961 nasceva Barack Obama. Il 4 agosto 2010 milioni di fan fanno gli auguri al presidente degli Stati Uniti su Facebook. La cartolina virtuale è stata firmata da più di un milione di persone.

Oggi Obama ne ha approfittato per ringraziare personalmente tutti i fan intervenuti per gli auguri. L’aggiornamento di stato ha ricevuto decine di migliaia di commenti in poche ore. 

Non dobbiamo comunque stupirci. I social network sono stati il punto cardine della campagna di Obama, nel 2008. Il presidente è sempre stato presente in rete con canali ufficiali su Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, YouTube, FriendFeed. Obama riscuote un consenso enorme in rete, mai prima si era visto un presidente così attivo sul web. Un presidente che non boicotta la rete, che finalmente non accolla tutti i mali del mondo ad Internet e alle chat, ma anzi, difende ed esalta le potenzialità del web, ormai diventato un mezzo importantissimo per comunicare con gli altri e portare a galla le proprie idee ed opinioni.

Non è un periodo facile per Obama, travolto dalle critiche per non essere riuscito a risolvere il “problema” della marea nera causata dalla BP nel Golfo del Messico. I consensi del presidente sembrano in netto calo negli USA, ma non certo su Internet, dove i fan di Obama, Michelle e delle piccole Malia e Sashaa sono davvero numerosi. Parliamo di milioni di persone che ogni giorno postano messaggi su Facebook e seguono i tweet di Barack. Senza dimenticare i centinaia di video in alta definizione HD disponibili sul canale YouTube della Casa Bianca, con commenti liberi, a differenza di quanto succede spesso nei canali ufficiali dei politici italiani, dove i commenti sono rigorosamente bloccati.

Seppur in ritardo, anche noi di IoChatto facciamo i nostri più cari auguri al presidente degli Stati Uniti Barack Obama. Happy Birthday Mr. President!

    I mean, what you say is fundamental and everything.

  9. Today, I went to the beach front with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.
    There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
    She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is

  20. When I initially left a comment I seem to have clicked on the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and from now on every time a comment is
    added I recieve 4 emails with the exact same comment.

    Perhaps there is a way you can remove me from that service?
